The Provider Outreach and Education team would like to welcome the providers in Delaware, Maryland, and District of Colombia Metropolitan Area (DCMA) including the Prince George's (MD) County, Montgomery (MD) County, Arlington (VA) County, Fairfax (VA) County, and the City of Alexandria (VA) to Highmark Medicare Services. In an effort to promote correct coding, Provider Outreach and Education will be offering a series of workshops focusing on Evaluation and Management (E/M) services.
Our first workshop will introduce you to the basics of E/M scoring using the Highmark Medicare Services score card. This 3 hour workshop is designed to explore E/M key components, review the basic documentation requirements and best practices. We will examine medical record examples and reinforce the dynamics of using the score card to code the appropriate level of service based on the medical record documentation. Understanding the utilization of the E/M score card will help you minimize coding errors.
Registrants please check in between 8:30 a.m. and 8:55 a.m. Workshop will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude by noon. This workshop is offered free of charge; therefore, refreshments will not be provided. We will not be sending confirmation letters. If sessions are full, we will notify you.
