The POE Advisory Group consists of individual providers, representatives from related organizations such as State Medical societies, CMS, billing staffs and Intermediary representatives. Members serve a vital role in improving communications between Medicare and the provider community by reviewing current Medicare issues, identifying educational needs and proposing ways to improve service to our customers.

The POE Advisory Group provides input and feedback on training topics, provider education materials, and dates and locations of provider education workshops and events. The group also identifies salient provider education issues, and recommends effective means of information dissemination to all appropriate providers and their staff. The POE Advisory Group should be used as a provider education consultant resource, and not as an approval or sanctioning authority.
